“MERMAID #4 - Amber checked us in, allowed us to store our lugage in the office until check-in was super friendly professional, very welcoming. Great location, walking score a 10, close to everything. Room was spacious, clean & well maintained. Bed was firm, comfortable with plenty of pillows. Room was downstairs, just off the sidewalk which we loved with a nice table outside, great for meals & people watching. Powerful AC with a remote which made it to convenient to adjust the temp as needed. The day of check-out Michael was kind & allowed us a later check-out, as I wasnt feeling well. Super nice people. They'd allow service dogs, just ask in advance, they have certain rooms available. I have already booked for a return trip next June. I was very impressed. And the view from the top was amazing, even though it was tough to climb the stairs. Made myself do it once”
“Was very easy to find from the farry and great location but one of the best things about here besides the customer service is the top deck. It has absolutely breathtaking views.”
“I am writing to share some feedback regarding my recent stay from March 13th to March 15th. The inn is very charming, and while the building is a bit older, it provided a perfect, authentic local feel. The facility is also conveniently located near the boardwalk and the center of town, which made navigating my trip much easier. I also wanted to specifically mention that your staff is amazing. Thanks to the staff for the excellent service and for the clear communication regarding my arrival highly recommended!”
“Seacrest Inn – Catalina’s Hidden Gem Seacrest Inn is easily one of the best values on Catalina Island. The rooms are reasonably priced compared to many of the other options on the island, and the location couldn’t be more convenient. One of the biggest highlights is their rooftop barbecue setup. After a successful day of fishing, I was able to bring my catch back and cook up a fresh dinner while enjoying the views from the roof—an unbeatable experience if you’re planning a fishing trip. Just remember to bring your own supplies for grilling, but even if you don’t, there’s a Vons grocery store just a block away. If you’re looking for affordability, convenience, and a little extra charm with that rooftop bonus, Seacrest Inn is a fantastic choice. Perfect for anglers and anyone who appreciates a great deal on Catalina.”
“My best friend and I visited Catalina for 5 days, and we LOVED the Seacrest Inn! We had originally booked a different room, but when we arrived, Michael was so accommodating and offered us a generous upgrade because the Sumner Cottage was vacant for the week. We adored the cottage! It had a lovely porch, a nice kitchen, bathroom, and two separate bedrooms. We were comfortable and enjoyed our time there. It was even super close to the grocery store! If you’re looking for a good spot on the island that is also affordable, you should pick the Seacrest Inn.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Catalina Gem – Seacrest Inn Made Our Trip Magical! We were lucky enough to find a last-minute opening at the Seacrest Inn in Avalon, and now we completely understand why they’re booked out so often—it’s not just the charming inn, it’s Michael and Amber who make the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond. They graciously allowed us to drop off our bags early so we could start exploring town without delay. After check-out, they offered to store our luggage, making it easy to enjoy every last moment of our trip without worry. There were some minor hiccups with the internet, but it’s important to note that these were issues with the service provider, not the hotel. What really stood out was how diligent and proactive both Michael and Amber were in troubleshooting and offering alternatives. Their care and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. What truly made the experience exceptional was their local knowledge and sincere hospitality. They pointed us toward the best rental deals, showed us where to go during the busiest parts of the day, and helped us navigate all the must-see spots around Avalon. Their recommendations made our trip feel curated and personal. The Seacrest Inn itself is a charming place to stay—cozy, welcoming, and with a personality that perfectly matches the spirit of Catalina. But it’s the people who run it that elevate it to something truly special. Michael and Amber are absolute treasures, and it’s clear they care deeply about every guest’s experience. If you’re lucky enough to find availability—book it immediately. Staying here felt like visiting old friends who just happen to run the best little inn on the island.”
